A day is coming when a carrot, freshly observed, will set off a revolution — Paul Cézanne
Without risk you have paintings hanging in the lobby of a Holiday Inn. — Ben Marcus
Just as new music has continually emerged throughout history, so can the image of the violin. My calling to make contemporary instruments is to evoke a relationship between the musician and his or her tool that is free of the baggage of musical formality, auction prices and "traditional" copies.
With a foundation in the classical Italian violin-making tradition, I also draw inspiration from the arts, architecture, nature and music of many different genres. My goal is to create a soulfully enlivened experience of music, musician and violin.
